10 Ways to Reach a Goal This Labor Day Weekend

Hey Goal Setter!

It’s Labor Day weekend—which means you have permission to stop laboring for a minute. 😂

But here's the good news: reaching your goals doesn't always look like sitting at a desk, checking off a to-do list, or working on your business.

Some of your most important goals are about how you live.

So while you're enjoying the long weekend, here are 10 ways you can reach a goal without turning your holiday into another workday.

  1. Reach a Family Goal — Be intentional with your people.
Have dinner together. Plan a family outing. Call a relative you haven't talked to lately. Put the phones down and create a memory. September is Family Goals Month inside Goal Skool, so this one gets bonus points!
  2. Reach a Hydration Goal — Fill that bottle up! 💧
Before you head out for the day, grab your water bottle, fill it up, and take it with you. Set a goal to finish it—and refill it. Your hydration goal doesn't take the holiday off.
  3. Reach a Health Goal — Get some steps in.
Take a family walk, stroll around the park, walk the mall, hit the treadmill, or walk around the neighborhood. Movement counts.
  4. Reach a Relationship Goal — Give someone your undivided attention.
Have a real conversation with your spouse, partner, child, parent, or friend. No multitasking. Just connect.
  5. Reach a Home Goal — Tackle ONE small project.
Not a Labor Day cleaning marathon! 😂 Pick one drawer, one closet, one cabinet, or one little project you've been meaning to finish.
  6. Reach a Personal Development Goal — Read a few pages. 📚
Grab the book on your nightstand and read for 20–30 minutes. If you're behind on your Goal Skool Book Club reading, this is the perfect catch-up weekend.
  7. Reach a Self-Care Goal — Actually REST.
Yes, rest can be a goal. Take the nap. Sit outside. Enjoy your coffee slowly. Turn off the notifications. Give yourself permission to recharge.
  8. Reach a Fun Goal — Do something just because you enjoy it.
Go somewhere. Play a game. Watch a movie. Try something new. Laugh. Your goals shouldn't be all work and no life.
  9. Reach a Financial Goal — Have a no-spend moment.
Labor Day sales will be everywhere. Before you click "buy," ask yourself: Do I actually need this? Keeping money in your account can be progress too.
  10. Reach Your BIG Goal — Move the needle just ONE step. 🎯
Before the weekend is over, take one small action toward the goal that's most important to you. It doesn't have to be huge. Just don't let it stay at zero.

Your Labor Day challenge:

Don't try to do all 10.

Pick 3.

Maybe you fill your water bottle, take a walk with your family, and read 10 pages.

That's family.
That's health.
That's hydration.
That's personal development.

And you still got to enjoy your holiday.

That's what I mean when I say goals are not just something you achieve. Goals are how you intentionally build the life you want to live.

Enjoy your Labor Day weekend, Goal Setter.

And whatever you do...

Move the needle. 🎯
